Etrac foam handle

Does anyone else have a problem with the handle riding up like it has no glue. This bothers the heck out of me! Any suggestions on how to fix it without electrical tape:biggrin:

that would be perfect for the job. The leather on the shifter on my SUV started to come unstiched and I used this glue on it to re-attach it - worked like a charm! I'll look around for the name of the stuff and send you a PM. It's made in Germany and is really good stuff.

Try wrapping the handle with tennis racket wrap. It costs about 4 bucks at Wal Mart and makes the foam handle waterproof. It cleans up easily and makes the handle more comfortable for those long hunts.

My handle came loose and so I wrapped it with the racket wrap and it was so snug it kept it in position and does not move any more. The wrapping also allows for a quicker clean up. The factory foam handle seems to soak up mud and dirt. The wrapping is waterproof and mud does not soak in.

Thanks Steve! Did you wrap that around the foam or take the foam off first? That does look like it would be more comfortable and definitely looks to fix the problem!

Leave the factory foam handle on and just wrap the tennis racket wrap right over it. It makes for a very soft comfortable handle.

The trick when installing it is to start at the control head and work your way down to the battery compartment with the wrap. The wrap has a thin tapered starting point and has a self adhesive back. Start with the thin part at the control head and overlap the wrap as per instructions on the wrap package. Once it is on, it will take some doing for it to be removed but it can be done.

Don't get the perforated version of the wrap, get the solid version. It also comes in colors, but I prefer the black.

If you can find a whites handle and some gorilla glue it would probably do the trick. TCB!!!

My detector would never forgive me for that!!
