Etrac Coil Cover

Hello,

Can anyone let me know the easiest way to remove the coil cover off of the stock coil that comes with etrac. I've been reading on this forum that trapped dirt between the coil and the cover can cause falsing, which I've noticed lately. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I have the same question.... the last thing I want to do is damage the coil. It seems really, really tough to take off unless I am missing something.

Just take your thumbs push down on edge move around and slowly loosen it all around, you won't hurt the coil I guess it is possible to crack the cover but they are pretty tough too. I gets easier the more you do it and yes it is a good idea to clean it out you will be suprised how much gunk collects under it.

Thanks Bell-Two...I was able to remove it with out too much difficulty and there was a bunch of dirt and grass in there.

I find it easier to remove by starting in the center area, (straight legs) that's where the snaps are that hold the cover in place.....nge

When you put it back on, black silicone around the edges of the cover so it comes squeezing out around the top, and you should NEVER have to remove it again...
