heya all, those that have used them, what is the best all around coil for the euroteck pro? aftermarket coils included also.
really thinking about adding one to the stable with the compadre, and will probley add another coil to it, so should i just save the money and get the 8 inch concentric right now?

I like the 5x10 elliptical coil, haven't taken it off since, but I would like the 5" coil to add

what types of sites you plan to search; the amount and proximity of targets at a site; your skills for pinpointing with a Double-D coil Vs a Concentric; and other factors.

Personally, I only like two search coils with my Euro-Tek Pro: The standard round 8" Concentric it came with, and the round 5" Double-D coil. Of all the Teknetics coils available, perhaps the only other coil I might consider would be the 5

Thanks for the replies all, Monte, that was what I was looking for.

I was leaning toward not getting the 11 dd and just getting the standard coil right now and adding a smaller sharpshooter type coil for in and around areas that has lots of nails and vegetation and the smaller coil will be easier to swing around the stick ups and roots.

I was just hoping that I wasn't missing out on not getting the 11 dd and it turning out to be the best coil for the etp.

10" elliptical concentric (stock omega coil)

by far my favorite. it's the go anywhere do anything coil (in my area). good separation and coverage. great with emi. super accurate ID

I have a sharpshooter on mine. It's a great little coil that I don't think is coming off anytime soon. Gets great depth and separation is good too in trashy areas as well. I haven't experienced any emi problems on the beach or in the woods. So far it's brought me 4 silver dimes, 3 indian head pennies and 1 small crotal bell I dug out at 10 inches all in a 6 hr hunt at an old park.
