Dears . do you have idea if have any software updates for the equinox 800 for fixing any bugs or to get more power . because I don't know if can make update by equinox machine. Regards
 
If the CTX is any indication there will be one update during the life of the detector. It is my personal opinion that updating detectors is a scam. A feature that they sell, but never use. Oh I'm sure the Deus people think that they were treated to updates, but then factor in the price of new coils for high frequency. Yes in a total screw up release an update can take care of a certain problem, but after that it is not used.
 
When machines are sent back for repair, it is probably handy to have that port and may result in an update to the latest firmware. Otherwise, Minelab and most other makers are probably paranoid about having copies of the firmware floating around for easy use by counterfeiters.
 
Hopefully there is an update to crank up the volume for their waterproof headphones!! Is there any mods to make these things louder?
