Equinox pause button?

tommass

New member
My old DFX would pause when pressing the Menu button so I could use my pin pointer while keeping the detector quiet. Does the Equinox work similar?

I don’t think it has that feature, but I’m a newbie with the Equinox.
I am using a Garrett ProPointer with it and I don’t hear any sound coming from
the detector while using it to recover a target.

If you have an 800 I think the answer is yes but you will have to try it and let us know. Your pin pointer is obviously causing some interference with your Equinox. The answer lies in the user profile function, simply load a single frequency and or a lower sensitivity into your user profile and with push of a single button you can toggle back and forth. While not a pause it should serve the same purpose with a single button function. Let us know the results if you would.

I just swing the coil away from the pointer, never had interference problem doing that.

After P.M. with the O.P. I think he is referring to a pulse induction pin pointer, which would be a whole different beast. I think my response would work quite well but without the exact pin pointer  I will never know.
