Equinox over Sov. Elite?

I have a gt and an excal, never used anything else until now. I would say speed and ability to work around iron are its strongest attributes, comparatively, and you will pick up small chains that go unnoticed with the sov. Waterproof, weight and a target id should also be mentioned.

I used to own two Sov GT's and an Excal II and made many great finds. I now own two CTX's and an Equinox 800. Recovery speed was the key factor for me. The all do very well in the beach environment.

I've got big hours on a Sov and yes recovery speed is a very big deal. Worth the change

I owned and used a Sovereign XS for 22 years. I purchased a Equinox 600 and now I am thinking it is time to sell the Sovereign and get the 800, because how well my 600 has done.

In a beach environment not sure speed makes a big difference. Granted I don't have the iron loaded beaches some have. I have a Excal ii and E Trac and they produce. Depth would be needed more I think. I am digging tons of small aluminum scraps with the EQ that I don't dig with the other two.
