Ive had no issues. Not even a dead battery after 4 years. Used the heck out of it too. As for the ears, no issues for, ive always kept them loose so the coil can pivot as it needs too, just snug to the point right before coils would lock up. This tightness served me well for stock and magnum coil.
That’s why I got rid of mine!…..Didn’t want to risk it. Sold it & made good return. Other than it’s common problems, it worked great.
