Equinox Grip

I'm not loving the grip on the Equinox 600, my hand seems to be sliding up toward the control head. Any suggestions?

I don't think I have noticed that, but I have decent size hands so maybe using more of the grip??? HH jim tn

There is a rubber stopper that attaches at the base of the control pod. They sell them on the big auction site. This may be what you need.

The angle of the grip on the Nox is awful. I've even attached a strap to the rod so that the detector would more hang from my wrist than be held by my hand in the straight up position. It helps. A new carbon fiber shaft with counterweight, etc. does nothing to fix the grip angle and is the same as factory shaft. It is not the shaft or the balance, it is the grip angle.

IMPO, the grip angle is about the same angle as the Etrac, but there is no cushiony wrap on the Equinox. I go between models, mostly using the Equinox, and nothing ever seemed to bother me. A thin wrap on the Equinox would surely be pleasing though.

It needs to be angled more forward and less straight up to work for me. Needs no better grip, need not be lighter, and need not be balanced. Needs to be forward angled where it is bearing on the cupped fingers and not on the top of the fist.

I tried a slice of a pool noodle while at the beach but is a little bit to small. I will get one off the auction site. Thank you for your help. By the way was at nagshead really sanded in. Still fun though. Very few targets. Not like VA Beach with a bunch of parties all over the the place
