Just don’t expose it and charge it in the heat of a hot summer car or charge when freezing cold say you bring your detector in from your car in the winter ..What is the best way to take care of the battery?
Humm…. I may need to change my charging habits…Actually, topping off batteries all the time is worse than anything else with lithium ion batteries. Partial charges and partial discharges are key to their health. I use a "battery doctor" when I charge, and monitor when the current has started to drop, and I pull it right then. Many users will insistently top the battery off though.
I still pack a power bank and a charge cable for the Equinox just in case, but I actually haven't even seen 1-bar of power yet. These batteries have a lot of gusto. I would actually like to see a low battery indicator just once on either of my Noxes. Does something blink or flash before total discharge?Humm…. I may need to change my charging habits…
I usually charge mine up before a hunt each time.
And my hunts usually average 5-6 hours.
As long as you are draining your battery from hunting you are doing just fine. What I have been doing is once a week charging it. Right or wrong?

Yes this also they make chargers for Ebikes that charge the batteries up to 80% for optimal life of the batteryActually, topping off batteries all the time is worse than anything else with lithium ion batteries. Basically what I do tooI hunt for 7-9 hours per hunt, always charge after each hunt, 4 times a month, been doing that for 3 years and the batteries are still holding a good charge.
I'm 4 to 5 hours per hunt and charge batteries after two hunts. I do make it a point ever so often to run the battery down to one bar. Mine has come close to dying at about the 12 hour use mark a couple of times.
