Equinox 900. My first impressions.

I have the 900 up and running! I have another post going that I don't like the ML 85 headphones. Playing with it a bit in the house doesn't do it justice. Coming from the 600,I find the navigation pretty easy. Going thru the tones I prefer at this time 5 tones. The Dp and At doesn't do it for me. It was strange to see a red back light and I never tried the flash light or the vibration handle. I think there will be issues coming with the cam lock system wearing out. I do like the fact that it can be made much shorter to save room while traveling. The first time I cant get outside I will probably stick to a factory program such as Park 1 with the exception of threshold and sensitivity settings. Any tips from you fellas will be greatly appreciated!! Thanks and HH! Ted

I've been taking my 900 to the trashiest (pull tab filled) parks I can find. I using Park 1 and I'm using the 10x5 Coiltek coil. I'm running recovery speed around 6-7 and I'm pulling a lot of coins out of all those tabs. No EMI problems yet. 5 tones and it will really let you know when you go over a coin. Good luck

Thanks Rich! I do like the tones. I know of a ball diamond that had a concession stand so infested with crown caps hardly anyone goes to that part. Could be interesting!

Its a great coil. A little more coverage than the 6" but still has great separation.

Ted i'm using park 1 and field 2 also the all tones is nice and if you find the 900 falsing turn the sensitivity down I'm running 21-22 sometimes 25 been great so far.
