It certainly answers a few more questions anyway ;)

What's your take on the USB charging cable? My laptop? My USB port on my CTX charger for my wireless WM10? What about charging the WM08 wireless module?on the go charging accessory? Car charger? Thoughts please, I'm missing somthing.

Notice the Warranty: 3 years control box and coil
Hmmm, battery in handle not included in 3 year warranty?

Cliff

Cliff.... you have to admit.... 3 year warranty for this price of detector.... not bad. Now how do you see the combos? 5 and 15khz? Unlike the FBS that we really dont know the shift on them. Thats pretty close to the DFX which i believe is 3 and 15khz. They arent as deep as the FBS..... but have really good sensitivity. Some dont see the need for single freq options with ML alleging their Multi freq is the best thing since peanut butter. With the options they have to combine...... i still see single freq being the best choice on dry sand...... and its nice to have that over current BBS and FBS multi freq machines. I did notice beach program is just multi freq only. I assume thats because single freq will work in fresh water.

Cliff.......somewhere i read, and i think it has to do with IP connectors, 10 meters or less was water resistant NOT water proof. I noticed the coil states water proof to 10 meters. I really believe we are going to have to add an O ring at the top of the threads on that connector to support the small one at the end. I also noticed that they have a cork at the end of the shaft..... if the shaft is sealed we are going to get some float ...... so will the coil move easier or will the coil float since i dont think ive seen ML say their coils are only good to 10 meters before?

I agree glad they added the UPDATE feature.
I know I know some people will say they never did anything with it on the CTX. But they did add a SALT mode just think how long you would of been with out your detector while they patched them Kellyco was taking forever to repair them never mind patch them.
I think all new Detectors should have this feature just in case they need to squash a bug or something.

Dew: I believe it's the same as the CTX. 3 meters or 10'

Also, no one has any input on my charging questions?

I think that yes, all those charging options would work to recharge the detector simply because the documentation says any standard usb converter will work. I haven't seen or read anything about charging for the wm-8. My thoughts are that it would be the same as the wm-10. Unless minelab releases more info we may have to wait for the sale. I don't think the tester had any wireless options on their test detectors. At least one of them stated as much, and a pic of another should a wire going from the headphones to the detector.

Edit - now that you have read all my ramblings, I see that someone posted a video about the wm-8 and its charging (same magnetic charger as the EQ)
