Equinox 600, Fresh water and nails!

I recently purchased the Equinox 600 and love it so far! My biggest problem is getting good signals on nails. I've seen a couple of threads about nail volume..can anyone enlighten me on how to set a nail volume or how to discriminate against the iron? I was also picking up a lot of bobby pins that I never used to get with my Fisher 1235X (oldie, but a goodie). Thanks for any help!

what are your settings? you should not be getting nails unless you have it in all metal ( the horse shoe button )

I'm in park 2. I haven't messed with anything else. I believe park 2 has the iron bias turned off. I'm going to try it again this weekend with the iron bias set to 3 and see if that makes a difference.

I get a lot of nail at the same number I get quarters , you just have tipoffs dug
