I have the same problem at the moment. All my beaches have very deep sand so not worth detecting on. The other week I went away for a few days a hundred miles away as checking the web cam of the area showed that the beach was totally washed out but all I found was loads of lead and a few old coins but I had a great break. On No say it isnt so ... I have not found the payoff amount with my 600 yet.
And to make it worse just bought two new detectors to beach hunt this summer.
I will be detector poor by June if this keeps up.
Hoping beach hunting has a better return than the stock market ... lol.
I think they are on record stating they are working on a new FBS machine. I expect it would be lighter and faster than the CTX.Anybody heard anything? A little over 4 years since the launch now.

Hi Steve,Rich --
Do you have any idea how reliable your "source" is? That would be very surprising to me, but a welcome surprise for sure. I would have expected that after the CTX -- which I thought was the "end of the line" of the FBS platform, that any future "flagship" from Minelab for coin/relic/beach hunters would be based off of the Multi-IQ platform. Perhaps I was wrong?
I have been expecting an Equinox 1000. Should I be expecting a CTX 4040 instead?!
Steve
You missed it by that much! As we all know by now it's a 900.I have been expecting an Equinox 1000. Should I be expecting a CTX 4040 instead?!
