EQ800/WM08 Audio Breakup/loss

I have been trying to use the WM08 with earbuds or headphones and it is not working reliably depending on where the WM08 is at the time.
Ideally I wanted it stuck on the rear headband of my cap and I'd be using the earbuds. I experienced the dropout so I tried other earbuds and a headphone and got the same thing. Anytime the WM08 is behind me (back/head) it does this. If you don't use threshold audio you may never know...
What is weird is that when I tried it in my backyard - that has a lot of EMI - it wasn't as bad. In low EMI areas like the beach or the park in this video it shows up right away. So at this point I don't know if it is the WM08 or the detector at fault.
Again, lousy audio on my voice... Had to use the Gopro with stereo electret mics with no preamp (and its on top of my cap).
Anyone else experience this?

The WM10 on my CTX will drop out depending on which channel it’s on if I have it on the back of my GoPro headband. Try syncing it with a different channel(if it has different channels) and see if that helps.

Yes, I have experienced many drop outs with my WM08. It's very annoying! It has happened with the WM08 on my waist next to my phone; on my waist without my phone around; when the WM08 is in my shirt pocket. When I'm at the beach or park. Almost anywhere I've hunted, it has dropped out at some point while hunting. I'm wondering if this this means the Nox needs to be sent in to be checked out?

Looks to me that there is no channel selection ability for the WM08 or the Bluetooth headphones.
You could pair multiple WM08’s to one detector though. It would be interesting to take someone’s that never had an issue and pair it and mine simultaneosly and see if it is my WM08 or the detector...
