Enough is enough.

Due to continuous ongoing problems with my X-Terra 30, mostly from shutting down, I will be ringing up Minelab for the 3rd time tomorrow, to send it back for the 3rd time for repairs! This time I'll be demanding a replacement as this situation is ridiculous! It's little wonder I don't use it much anymore. How can you when you can't trust it. If it worked like it's supposed to, then I'd love it, but that hasn't happened for over 18 months! Last time it was sent back, Minelab replaced the battery compartment. This is the only detector that I've owned that has done this. Enough is enough Minelab!!!!

That you can be unlucky enough to have 3 with the same fault on a row.

What kind of batteries do You use, are they shorter then Energizer or do they measure bad voltage even when new.

Send it in and even demand a XT50 to compensate for your irritation and to thank you for not changing brand. :argue:

Dang that would really tick me off, Iv'e got one and it works flawless, but LORDY 3 of em, WOOO-HOOOO, Not good at all, lotsa people read bout stuff like that, they oughta make that right, after all, MANY PEOPLE READIN BOUT THAT .

in Adelaide, and they have agreed to replace the unit for me. Yippee!
This has been the same unit till now, so hopefully I'll have a reliable unit, I hope. If it is, then I'll use it more frequently.

They seem to be very good detectors, but thru the years i have never been able to put full faith in any ID outfit, and had many kinds, it just seems i always get more finds without ID, The X seems like a good truthful ID, but bout the only place i use mine is play areas/ works good there, guess mebbe someday i'll get used to one, mine is nice and i like it, but there's always that thing, i wonder if it's lying to me, but i guess i need to digit all, just like i do with my beepers, but then why the ID ??? Oh Well, they be OK outfits, and glad your'e getting another one :)
