though I have a couple others that make it a tough choice - was a very good year for me and outstanding finds. Will be tough to beat this year!

Hey CC., My one and only silver of the year, but my first Capped bust Half dime.
<img src="http://www3.sympatico.ca/cmbradbury/pics/1829USDIME.jpg">

Found my first shield nickel...66 with rays then an hour later found my first 2 center...1868. These came from the same site that I found 3 pieces gold in one day a month earlier.

I'd say it's my 1898 barber half dollar even though I gutted it thinking it was clad or a hot wheel or something since it was down only an inch and everything else old was proper depths.
My 1896-S barber dime is probably my most favorite find because I know the odds are had I not found this one that spot in the book will probably have remained empty until I die.
But everytime one of these silver discs shine through out of the black dirt I'm happy and if fills an empty spot in a book I'm really happy because it seems harder and harder to get a hole filled the more I swing this bad-a$$ detector <IMG SRC="/metal/html/ml.gif" BORDER=0 width=30 height=15 ALT="m~"> <img src="/metal/html/biggrin.gif" border=0 width=15 height=15 alt=":D">

French and Indian war era stamped 12 pound cannonball. I don't see too many more of these in my future.

It just takes a little imagination but I just know it had a 'D' on it! <img src="/metal/html/lol.gif" border=0 width=15 height=15 alt=":lol">

Rub it in Eh!! That's it for silver, did find some other stuff in the spring plus a few old coppers.
Maybe I can make it up in the next few weeks!

Don't know why my 1916 d wouldn't show?
It showed just fine in preview <img src="/metal/html/shrug.gif" border=0 width=37 height=15 alt=":shrug">

Mine was a first for me and was originally a 12 pounder too.

I have to admit that yours really is a beauty, until now I didn't even realise that they came with marks on them.
