Enhanced mode???

I have been reading the posts on the Fisher CZ 3D and was wondering what enhanced mode was. Is this a mode that my CZ-5 doesn't have. While I am at it I might as well ask another question that I have wondered about - what would I gain/loose etc. if I ran my CZ-5 in salt mode when hunting a non beach area (school ground,park,etc.). What is salt mode. Thanks! Steve.

CZ5 has a regular mode and salt mode while a CZ3D has a regular salt mode and an enhanced mode for older coins. Basically it adds a tone for relics, your square tab and changes facet widths to catch more old and off beat coins that might be missed if hunting in the CZ5 coins mode. I don't believe I am able to post sites so google Tom Dankowski, metal detecting as he has some excellent articles that will fully explain your question on the advanced mode.
It has been documented by most that using the salt mode you lose a tad depth and likeness for small gold items but differences are minimal at best..My opinion is the same as yours for older or newer CZ3D's but again some CZ's are a tad hotter than others going back to the first CZ6 in 1992...

Thanks Dan, I appreciate the info. Steve.
