Energizer Lithium Ultimate AA Non-Rechargeable Batteries

Has anyone tried the new AA energizer non-rechargeable lithium ultimate batteries? The claim is that they last 9x longer than alkalines. I put them in my V and have about 20 hours on them so far (still going strong). Cost around $17.00 for 8 at Home Depot.

For $129.99 you can get the Real Deal the (AW-2200-Litium-ion Re-Chargeable Batt Pack and Home Charger) NEVER BUY ANOTHER BATTERY AGAIN for your Whites Machine...........!

I am glad you have reduced the price on your battery pack/charger even though you advertise it as a temporary sale through Fathers Day. With free shipping I think you are now in the mainstream market with that pricing.

Yes, Whites and R&B. Both would be better than buying non rechargeable lithium batteries. You could buy either rechargeable packs sets, and they will last a lifetime. This is just my humble opinion.

Yes, non-rechargeable lithium ion AAs last very long, and so are worth the extra price. They are also much lighter than regular AAs. However, you have to watch, on some machines the extra voltage will even give an over voltage error, or worse they could overheat the voltage regulator. If your lucky it will power back up after it cools down, as regulators usally have a thermal overload in them. Linear regulators get rid of excess voltage by wasting it off as heat via a heat sink. Too much voltage and it's game over.

Hmm, let's see he's paying $17 for 8 cells and they last 20 hours. The rechargeable pack costs $129. For that price he can get 7.5 sets of his batteries. 7.5 x 20 = 150hrs. The $129 pack is expected to charge 1000 times, Hmm. 1000 x 12.5 hrs = 12,500 hrs. JMHO

I would need more than 20 hrs a week, so in less than 6 weeks a rechargeable pack would be a bargain for me.

My guess is that 2900 will do about 20 hours. It will be a good battery but do you really need more than while a 12 and a half hours? The price would also be more.

We are concentrating on the Minelab Batt Pack which I expect to have done in about 6 to 7 weeks..
The 2900 will follow the Minelab Batt Pack and we are not sure when that one will be released[/b

There have been 2 posts about the Aw2200 battery. I started one which was my test. The other post was started by a member. I'm sorry but $17 for 20 hours of runtime needed my opinion. If and when I get a White SEF 10x12 I'll field test it also.

I haven't seen any questions go unanswered as a matter of fact I haven't seen many questions asked lately. I guess I'm getting too much to do the job. Maybe they will cut my pay.

Just read the posts you want and ignore the ones you are not interested in.

20hrs! count me in! i will be going places far from home and would love to be able to camp out in the woods with no need for power for 2 or 3 days, and that 2900 is gonna be there if its good for even CLOSE to 20hrs.

1 2200
1 2900
1 stock nimh
1 aa rechargeable 2400mah

its like takin a vacation.

I certainly hope more advertisement is done here. That would mean new products for the v3i would be emerging and that is a good thing for all of us in this section.

Sponsors pay for the privilege to advertise on the forums and I don't mind endorsing a good product or a good buy, but you are right that it can get out of hand.
