End Cap connector choices

I've seen the excellent work OBN and others have done with mods and endcap work. I have this kit of parts to eventually build an Excal. The endcaps look like they may have cracks. I am torn between using female M12 inline receptacles embedded in the endcap vs using black plastic Heyco's here with the strain reliefs (like original) and then use inline M12's 6" out or so. Probably less stress on the endcap using the outer in-lines. What do you think? I haven't decided on whether or not I'm doing the PP mod. At this point I don't even know if my coil or PCB work...

Thanks B! The stock caps are cast so they tend to fracture in time. I would go with the heyco's first then down the road I can do you a couple blank endcaps. Then you can go from there and modify them as needed. Also one little tip, go the 3M SS M12-4 pins. I've been testing the composite type the last few months and seems to be a issue with falsing when swing in saltwater. I also went with the composite on the coil end, then the SS female set in the endcap and the same issue. Seems the best setup is all SS... So a 3M M12-4 set in the endcap and a 3M M12-4 pin for the coil side also. Good Luck
