Emulator now available with US coins

John LA

New member
There was a thread about this but it vanished from my computer. Perhaps the other thread about the emulator should vanish also.

Why are all the posts on this E Trac forum, especially mine being deleted if they have anything to do with the New Emulator that everybody wants to view?

This appears to be censorship gone mad which will backfire on those responsible.

All E Trac owners in the United states are clamouring for information on this great free product and it appears jealousy is getting the better of some people concerned.

I think a lot of people are going to be very unimpressed with certain people who are responsible for this unfair censorship..

The post that describes the emulator is still there:

That is not my post Andy that one is Snowys. My one was very similar but has been mysteriously spirited away as has your post where you made the Apology to everybody concerned for your haste in accusing us of charging for information that should be free to everybody which it turned out is.
This is a very poor show and one I suspect shortly a few people will regret censoring.
This information on max's Emulator is free to everybody and as such should still be available to everybody.

I have sat on the sidelines the past few days as the post that added nothing to the forum kept on coming. If people are here to share their insight into how the detector of their choice operates, techniques that we can all learn from or to show off some of their finds, then we will all enjoy our time on the forum - whichever one we choose to visit.

The posts here lately have been nothing but mudslinging with most of them being posted by those that are avid supporters of the "site across the pond".

Tony, if you are so upset about a post that consisted of mainly your rants as well as those of your countrymen being pulled to bring the forum back on to its intended direction, then here's a suggestion . . . stay on the MLO site and you won't have to worry about the censorship you are so concerned about. Guess what - it's not your site, you are not footing the bills and you don't make the rules. Don't like them, take your marbles and go home. You got upset enough when people complained about the need to register and struggle through the navigation on the MLO site but there to, it's the owners site to do as he pleases . . . we either accept it or move on.

Are you that bored that you find it necessary to complain about every post made and see a conspiracy behind every action . . . . . go to your local pub, have a pint and chill out.

Really . . . . this is just a hobby is it not!

And wasn't that what you were trying to accomplish . . . . before you get spun up about threads being pulled that really added no value to the overall purpose of the forum, let's all step back.

Anyone looking to access the MLO site and download the emulator now has a clear, logical post that tells them how to do so . . . . and that is the information people were looking for . . . not a fight

I noticed that too John, I had made a comment thanking who ever made the USA Coin File for the Emulator. Went to look at any other comments and the whole thing was gone.

Hummmmmmm..... grinning

The humbleness of this individual amazes even others obviously. Grinning.

It is available now at MLO for down load. This is where I should of sent it in the first place
And noted this on this forum. Also there is a new version of the Emulator available as well.
The Emulator is a work of ART. Minelab Rocks and Max.

the usa coin program is great. thanks to larry (nwi) for helping me to download it as i have a difficult time with computers. tony seems to be very unusual as to what upsets him.. He got on my case when I just asked a question about the disc controls. Back to the emulator ,it is very helpful in learning the detector in my opinion...Just to bad some seem to want to cause a few problems on this site? After all it is just a hobby for most of us and not a way of making a living.......Tony chill out!

Your reply duly noted. Thank you D Wes

I know at times people post things that should be posted else where...

I am happy as mud on a pig we have this venue and others for our enjoyment.

Y'all have a great week.

Etrac001,

And you were critical of me for stating my opinion that what I thought was the donation of an eTrac to facilitate the creation of the eTrac emulator was a great deal? I think your post really crosses the line - Tony Hunt is a well respected member of the Minelab user community and has been a valued poster on this site - maybe you should re-read your posts before pressing the "Post" button! I see you've only posted a total of 3 times on this site -- I don't think I'm alone in hoping that you don't end up chasing many of our respected UK members off this forum with your novice abbrasive comments.

To keep things in fair perspective.............Remember when I posted an apology?.......At the end of that post,I also said I wished to kill That thread (which I started),and not the good will that others have ,and have shown...........I am happy that my thread was deleted, along with the ensuing argument it had started...........I was ashamed of having started unneeded bashing and controversy........I Thought WE ALL WERE?????????

When every post gets dissected and challenged, we tend to shy away from the computer and go out for some detecting. It would be nice for the demeanor of the forum - and the really just the Explorer / E-Trac forums - to get back to basics; i.e., share good useful information with one another and stop reading hidden meanings into every single post.

Might want to look at any of the other 2+ dozen forums on Find Mall and see how far less adversarial the threads tend to be . . . . . . are Minelab users just that passionate?
