Employee spotlight metal detecting article

PharmSearcher

New member
Hey guys, wanted to share this with you all. I am a pharmacist for Brookshire Grocery Company (grocery store chain in Texas, Louisiana and Arkansas). And in December they interviewed me about my metal detecting hobby. The article features my son and I and they did a great job. My son Josh has really been bit by the bug. The first time out with him at a local swim beach here in North Texas I turned him loose with the 250. And within 10 minutes, he found a class ring. After doing some researching and identifying the owner, we presented it to him and of course the boy was excited to have it back. He told us that he had lost it the summer between his junior and senior year while playing football at the beach. One of the cool things is we found out after meeting him was he was a sacker at one of the stores in our company. I told our store manager about the story and he contacted our home office. A few days later someone from the home office called me and asked if they could come by and interview us and take some pictures and do a story. Pretty cool! Gonna send it into Garrett.

Super cool, double thumbs up!:garrett:

Great post! I bet that younger feller of yours is real proud for finding and returning that ring. Give him a "HIGH FIVE" fro J-E, Don't forget to also enter it in the find of the month. He just might get his own Pro Pointer to use. (c'mon son....can I borrow it for a couple minutes?:wiggle:)

Hey that's a great write up!

WTG. Our hobby needs all the great publicity we can get. Looks like some great finds in the photos, too. Happy hunting to you and your son.

Enjoyed the article. Thank you for posting. I am a fellow Texan and my daughter and her husband love to go treasure hunting with me when they visit. It is one of the first things they want to do when they visit. They certainly enjoy the iphone pictures of my finds when we are apart. A great family hobby and your article is good publicity for the hobby.

Great Article, and a great return on the ring...The young one has a great coach!!!

HH,

Sorry to hear about your son. You being a pharmacist you already know there's no cure for that particle bug. Nice article anyway.

good going
At least you know where your kid is at
