EMI

I know the Explorers and the Etrac are very good at combating bad EMI.Are there other detectors that are very good combating bad EMI . I have tried many detectors with frequenzy controls, but no matter where I adjusted the frequenzy control they did not seem to make any difference. My back yard has a power line overhead and a large transformer across the street. Does anyone know of another machine that is not bothered by very bad EMI . Just wondering.....Jack

A Tesoro might be worth trying as they used a LC/Tank circuit to generate the frequency. Crystal controled machines are often the worse. The Whites V3 should work at one of its three frequencies (2.5, 7.5 and 22.5 kHz) as they are so far apart unlike the fractional change of single frequency machines.
