EMI?...........Try frequency offset...............

The V sure has a problem around transformers for me and some power lines Jerry. I just move on out of the EMI range but if that is the only place you have to hunt, you might have to make a change. Other than trying single frequency or salt compensate and lowering the Sensitivity, I don't have any more answers. What works for others around power lines?

[attachment 154351 point.gif]Don't forget coils. Jerry never said what coil he is using. I wrote a post earlier where I cleaned up right under the high lines. The D2 is a great coil but is very sensitive to EMI. I've done well under the lines with the 6x10. I'm sure a smaller coil like the 5.3 would also make a difference, just like the 9.5 works better at the beach. Rob

Here is another factor I believe.Wireless verses hard wired headphones.I would think in that situation of EMI that can not be gotten rid of or toned down with salt mode or Offset Try hard wire headphones .Might be the interference is coming in though the wireless.Just a thought . Yazoo

Thanks for the reminder...I forgot about that option. I'm not sure about this, but I think that most EMI does not come through a properly shielded coil.
