emi/rmi-f75 se

As far as I know the only people who say they work are the ones who sell them. :)

Whether or not they help depends on the kind of electrical interference. Users most often report no benefit, but a few users have reported definite beneft under certain conditions.

Only way to find out if it works for you is to buy a clamp-on unit and try it. It should go fairly close to the searchcoil connector but not so close that its weight is likely to damage the cable exit point.

There's a detailed essay on electrical interference & metal detectors on the Fisher website.

There is no clamp on fix for the F-75 or everyone would have one. Try changing channels or lowering your sensitivity or raising the discrimination when in those areas that are giving you trouble. If mine ( F-75 SE ) is not making some racket I change the settings. Sometimes I have to change locations. You have a very sensitive and powerfull machine. I don't care for the racket but I do like the results when I get lucky. Hang in there you will get used to the noise. Good luck and HH :fisher::minelab::teknetics:

I tried one of these ferrite clamps purchased from Radio Shack and it did nothing. The above comments from Hershey1 pretty much sum it up. My yard is plagued by the neighbor's wireless gaming system which is an intermittent nuisance. Changing the channels on the F75 will lessen the effects of the EMI enough to run the sensitivity higher. The good news is that my F75 will still find my test quarter at 10 inches in my yard at 30% sensitivity, although the VID reads as zinc coin. This is a monster of a detector and you don't need to run the sensitivity that high. The default is 60% which seems to work fine for most hunting. Run the sensitivity as high as possible without a lot of falsing and change channels/frequency until you find the best solution. You will hear a lot of light background noise/chatter but good targets will produce a solid repeatable response. Good luck.

The only time I couldn't tame my f75 ltd down, was in a yard with an invisible dog fence, and was told the neighbors had one also.I tried everything with the machine ,but it was so bad it wouldn't even lock on to a quarter I threw on the ground!!! She let me turn it off and I managed to dig some coins,if not for shutting hers off I simply would of had to leave. I guess my point is,there are some places the ultra sensitive machines just wont perform. But the good by far out ways the bad!!!.........hh rick in mi.
