OK, I'm a little embarrassed to ask, but what is ED 180? I'm new to such terminology and I think I have it on my new Tesoro, but I don't know what it means.

Howdy parfind.......

do an author search and look up the author named Monte. You will have to go back a few pages because he has a lot of posts. The guy has boatloads of usefull info.I've run the Tesoro brand for 14yrs,and l've learned a lot from reading his posts.

Par, never be embarrassed to ask questions here on Tesoro Forum, or anywhere on Find's.

We have NEVER drawn and quartered anyone, but a few got to walk the plank!

Most will gladly offer assistance. Sometimes answers come a bit slower from the most knowledgeable fellows.

Worst that can happen is you get ignored, and it's rare.

Monte, has indeed made some excellent presentations on discrimination. He's A #1 fellow.

The Tabdog has also presented good posts on ED180/120, reviewing Monte's more technical presentations.

Hi Parfind,

" ED-180 " is a term used by Tesoro to describe the amount of acceptance the machine has to conductive materials.

This difference is usually discussed in the lower range of iron and other lower conductive materials.

The term is used loosely because some MD's have different amounts of acceptance even though they

are described as having an " ED-180 ".

Here is a post by Monte on the subject.

This post and another in the same thread by Monte are very informative about the term " ED-180 ".

Get a cup of coffee, sit down and read this. You'll be glad you did.
