Hi i,m trying to find out what the difference is between version 1 and version 3 on the tecneticks G2
Monte suggested i email first Texas and maybe they could tell me
could someone tell me the email add
thanks Pete

I think you are setting yourself up to be unhappy if you go with an email. The last time I called they let me speak to a tech and my question was answered almost instantly. I am sure a lot depends on how busy they are when you call but a couple of calls might beat waiting on an email that may never come. If you just go to Teknetic's main webpage you can get contact info, but I would call. You may even get an answer on the forum. I was calling on a Fisher, but would guess Teknetics might be similar. You could try an email and if you don't get the timely response you hoped for then call. Good luck, and please let us know what you find out.

Well, my other post was based on my experience with Fisher. I realize that Teknetics might be an entirely different ball game. They do have a lovely email form on their website. They also lis this number 1-800-413-4131. Hope I didn't aggravate you with my suggestions. Please let us know what worked for you.

Thanks, Don

Hi All
Ive sent a message via there website if i get a reply i will post it
in the meantime if anybody can tell me what is the difference between version1 and version3 i would appreciate it
thanks again Pete

Powerwalker... I have not heard of the version 3 G2. The only ones I know of say 1 at startup. As far as versions go, the G2 V1 is the same as the Gold Bug V3. I would not really worry about it, just get the machine an start finding goodies, it WILL suprise you in trashy spots.........MO

I would'nt worry too much about the version number like Mo said turn it on and dig. If you get one with a serial number let me know where it is because mine don't have one unless it is inside the control housing. HH :teknetics::minelab::goodnight:

It was a internal manufacturing change. Try not to get all wrapped up in "what version". It really won't do your mind any good. Do some reading here on this forum about the different versions for the Tek. units.

Mr. Bill

Those revisions have made those T-2s and F-75s usable in a lot more places. The older models would drive a lot of people nuts they made so much noise. You could'nt hunt in town or anywhere close to a powerline. They have came a long way in that regard without hurting depth or overall performance. My G-2 can operate with the gain or sensetivity close to 100 and that was unheard of not long ago. So in my opinion the revisions that have come along lately has been for the users benefit.

Thanks guys for all you re input it is much appreciated
i,l report back when i get out in the fields and give it a spin if anything interesting turns up i,l take photo.s and post them
thanks and good luck Pete
