Pic to the right is of today's finds;not much, but enough for now....soon...very soon...:sadwalk:

I was helping an elderly ( 80yrs.) gentleman detectorist on the beach yesterday who had forgotten his scoop .I asked him "How are you going to retrieve your targets?"...he said "With my hands"...well, I couldn't have him do that with his arthritic hands so I offered to dig his targets if he would circle them with his foot and when I got down to the area where he was, I would dig them.

He called me over for a heavy , solid sound..I scoop , and out pops Tweety Bird..to the tune of .925/ 10 K gold.

the stamping was only .925,; the gentleman wanted to give me the ring, but I told him that I would take it home, clean and shine it , and return it to him this week; when I got it home , I dipped "Tweety" in my gold testing solution and it read 10K

Now..at this time "Tweety" was looking golden , but after I wiped him off, and cleaned him and shined him...the gold seemed to dissipate...don't know what happened except maybe it was just 10K plated...???

Anyway, the elderly man was so happy that I dug this for him and I was happy to help him...very polite, friendly man.

Uh, bud-eet, uh, bud -eet...that's all folks..that's the end of the tail.:smoke:

all it says in the back is "Made in Vietnam"..can't figure out what type of vehicle it is....see.. besides knitting and cooking and detecting, I'm interested in things like this.; I'm not a :nerd:....... just grew up with 3 brothers...
