Elson has left the building!!!!!!

Elson, Pam, her mom, and I had a great couple of hours visiting! We had an enjoyable meal at our favorite BBQ joint (Bird Dog BBQ). And he is on his way to the motel.
We had a great time swapping stories and talking bad about a couple of folks on the forum. (Actually Elson started it, but I defended all of you.)

All too soon it was over and he is on his way to the next part of his adventure. Good luck Dave you are gonna need it, but I don't need to tell you that.

You are right Craig, Elson is a treat!

My hope is that he got to his motel safely as it is thundering and hailing pretty good right now as I'm typing this. We do get some neat storms in Colorado and one is passing through now.

We both have a couple of pic's and I'll post them in another post. Sorry Ed, nothing compromising so try not to be too disappointed.

Elson, when you read this just know it was a pleasure to meet you my friend and both Pam and I look forward to the next time we meet!!!!!

I'm taking him up to an old silver mining and smelting site that could be good. Nancy and I hunted the place for a short time about 5 years ago and came out with 2 1/2 pounds of silver. The road in there is a little scary to a flat-lander, but the rattle snakes will keep his mind off of the trip out! The poison ivy is everywhere to add to the fun. Some old buildings, a huge area to hunt, and a black glass mountain to add to the steep terrain and scenery should make it all worth the trip. If we are still alive, I am taking him water hunting on Sunday morning and having a cook out and picnic on Sunday afternoon. I hope to have my three sons and all five grand kids spend a little time with "Pap pa Elson". He is a blast no matter where you are going. This will be his fourth trip up here to hunt with me and we WILL have fun. Glad you got to meet him! DC

Take a look at the pictures at the link below. There were some places that ended up with over 2 feet of hail!!! The city had to bring out the snow plows to plow the hail off the road in a few places. Some hail was reported to be 1 inch in size. I hope Elson did not get caught up in any of it.

We got some hail where we live but not close to what parts of the city ended up with. I'm watching the morning local news now and they showed a picture of a kid making a hail angle.
