No Disney moments with these big beauties ! Surely, some of these dense people must be injured every year; you DO NOT turn your back on them ! Same problem up here in Banff Alberta and Cranbrook BC. Some tasty, nutritious culling indicated, although I prefer moose or musk-ox myself !

saw some awsome battles,They're so big and powerful.If you ever plan a trip out that way do it in the Elk rut It's a show you'll never forget.
 
During the lewis and clarke expedition, they wintered on the west coast and had only boiled elk to survive on , they did well but got tired of boiled elk by spring. But all were healthy in the spring. So it must be good nutrition.
 
..... sure wish I'd have know that before I joined the Moose Lodge! :rofl:
