Hi Adam,

Good to see you are still finding coins yet, wonder what you think of the Coinsearch coil. I think it is the best coil to learn the Sovereign with and it has some great depth too, the only bad thing is it is not waterproof.
I was out on Sunday with a couple of Explorer users and used my Explorer too and wasn't doing too good, so I switch to my GT with the 10 inch coil and started finding a few coins, one even was a Wheaties. One of the guys with the Explorer got a very weak signal and only one way, the other guy got a very iffy one so I had to try with the GT and will say I knew it was good, but couldn't get the meter to go higher than 170 doing the wiggle, but it was repeatable and a better signal than they could get with the Explorer on this one. It was a surprise to find a clad dime at around 10-11 inches deep. It looks like the area was filled to get it that deep.
On all the signals we compared the Sovereign GT could see all the Explorers could plus several they thought were good the GT nulled on as they were iron when dug, so I feel the GT can keep up with the Explorers most of the time, but also know the Explorer can see more than the Sovereigns can at times.

I think the ten inch tornado is a darn good coil, real deep coil there...the spots I have been hitting are too bad trash wise these coins were close to six inches one a tad less one a tad more the second dime was a real week signal but good three ways and busted up the other but real faint......this place is pine needle duff so real easy digging. I got a merc on Friday too but a different spot..take care ..............
