Eliminate Rejected VDI Sounds? Help please.

Lowjiber

New member
I'm a MXT guy who's had the Vision out a total of three times. I'm just working my way through the draft "expert" manual and can't seem to figure this one out.

I want to eliminate the sounds for VDI's that I've "disc'ed" out. I'm sure it can be done, but I'm missing something.

It's easy with the MXT...just a forward flip of the trigger and you're done. I've even found myself flipping the V's trigger forward...force of habit.

Thanks much,

John

Lowjiber,

That's a good question. I noticed that today if you disc out a number, it doesn't eliminate the sound. I know on my other unit when you created a pattern the only sounds you would will hear was those that was inside the pattern.

Being new to WHITES detectors is a little to getting use to until I get enough experience to change the tones. Right now I am watching the screen.

I think I found it under the Six Block menu.. I think you search in a program that allows discriminated objects to be heard. Maybe even the sound you hear is from the Mixedmodes all metal channel.

bfodnes,

I understand now. I have done this in the coins program but not each individual program. I need to go back to do this in the other 3 programs that I use. If I restore a individual program for any reason I will have to go back and repeat this procedure for that individual program each time. I see now.

Thank you for the information. There is nothing like the FORUM if you have a question.

Thank you.

My understanding was if you've disc'ed out a VDI number then you suppress the sound for that VDI when you're running in Disc mode (for example in the Coin or Coin&Jewlery programs). What program are you using?
