just bought one. can you supertune these like a vaquero? i havent recieved it yet but i have several of the brown tesoros and love them. let me know what you like or dislike about them please. thanks alot.

From the early '80s I was using the term "Hyper-Tuning" and it's the same technique of sunning the Tuner (Threshold adjustment) to maximum or close to it and it does/can have a bit of effect in augmenting the audio from some deeper and/or smaller targets. There are, however, trade-offs.

For one thing, it makes the quick use of the All Metal/Pinpoint mode useless. In addition, while it can enhance the responsiveness to some desired targets, it can also enhance some of those little chirps and clicks and ticks you get from rejected crap.

Personally, I prefer a 'proper' slight audio Threshold setting. More important than "Super-Tuning" a detector is using the bets coil for the task and making sure the detectror has the most functional Ground Balance setting.

Owend Eldorado in 2001 I believe it tuned just like my VQ Just like my 8 Reale in 1989 Tesoro was and is way ahead of it's time.Great detectors!!!!!!!!!!!!
