hello ther i'm getting a tesoro eldorado and just currious on coils would it gain a lot more depth with the 12 x 10 or just stay with the 9 x 8 or 8" donut coil any suggestions got the little 4" coming with it!

Hi, If you're coin hunting in parks etc, then the 9x8 is as big as you want to go. I have used the 12x10 with my Eldorado on the beach, it goes deep and covers more ground than the stock coil. In parks the 5.75 is a real winner, particularly in trashy areas, but pretty good anywhere except the wide open spaces.

7" concentric coils. Most often with any make/model I use a smaller-than-stock coil and have done quite well with the 7" on many Tesoro's since the release of the Inca. However, you might also enjoy a 5

i have the eldorado and really like the 8 inch brown coil for all purpose use. i use the 5.75 concentric alot of the time and only reason i dont have the 7in concentric is the 8 inch i have and the 7in widescan coil covers that area great. i also have the 12x10 coil and it is very sensitive to smaller targets, coins rings etc. to my surprise. the 12x10 is deeper on larger targets but about the same on coins as the 8 inch. now with that said,12x10 is great for lower trash areas. now this dont make any sense to me but the 12x10 coil made the silver umax a very deep machine..

I'm with Monte on the 7" concentric. I use that coil a good share of the time on all my Tesoros. For most general hunting the 9X8 has been satisfactory on my Eldorado, but I do like the 7" in the parks.

hey thanks alot guys for the input my hunting is mainly old home steads and grown up baseball fields and gone by fair grounds, so my question is if i got the 7" or 8" coil do you think i could get 8" range of depth in mild ground?

I would also go with the 7 inch coil for most playgrounds and the like. Found this to be very nice combination on the Eldorado.
