Eldo Question

Hello All !

I bought myself a Eldo several months ago for competition hunting. Seem to be doing fine with it, finding targets quickly. I leave the discrimination turned to the arrow, and when I find a signal I try to guess what is is by turning up the discrimination.

I know there are alot of rings between the start arrow and the nickel, so I dig alot of trash looking for those rings. I dig everything that doesn't act like trash after I come off the arrow just before the nickel mark.

I have yet to dig a good gold ring. I'm new to Tessoro, so it brings me to ask. Am I doing what sounds like the right thing ?

Thanks, and HH...............HDJ :detecting:

Hey Jim I have the Eldorado umax. So I'm assuming that is what you are talking about. When I'm detecting houses I usually set mine just at or slightly about the triangle. If I'm doing playgrounds or wood chips I set my disc. below iron and just dig everything. Sounds like you are right where you need to be. Just have patience and they will come.
