Eerie feelings with new found treasure?

opacific

New member
Have you ever found something at an old site, and just had bad feelings about it? I found a St. Christopher type medallion and it just didn't feel right to keep it. Maybe it should've just stayed on the property. I went up to the new owner and asked if they new who lived there previously, and he said they were deceased. So I offered the medal to the current owner, but he declined. A few days later, I returned to the vacant lot and reburied the medal. I now feel better.

Do you ever get that kind of feeling, especially when finding treasure from Civil War sites, wreck sites, etc?

Good times or bad its all part of human history.

When some guy in a pick-up truck drove up next to me and told me the story of a 90 year old lady that lost her medallion in a general area, and if I could find it she would be so grateful. Then he drove off. I went and hunted the area for about a hour and I did find it. But when I took it to the churches office they looked at me like I was some kind of nutjob...none the less that was last year and I still have the little treasure in my possession
