Edit is more of what I think of as find tuning a pattern. What is of real interest is that we can learn a target to be accepted and one to be rejected that hits in the same digital combinations of ferrous and conductive clusters than clip out parts of the cluster. When we do we find that we can reject a pulltab and yet accept a ring that hits in the cluster. I have attached an illustration of some experimenting in that area.

What I listen for when using Learn and Edit is that there is a clear indication by a tone pitch of a rejected target. If I exclude trash then consider any other target as good I do better. The detector has no problem at all detecting and identifying a pulltab. What we have problem doing is separating a ring out of the pulltabs. It only takes a slight difference to know that something is different about that hit from the other pulltabs to go for it and find a ring. I use the expanded mode and crosshairs to find out where a ring and pulltab actually hit to give me an idea where to clip on the rejected cluster to tune in a ring. I don
