edit disc help?

So i just need alittle help of someone can explain this.
on the right side on the screen when editting a pattern.

manual
auto latch
auto accept
auto reject

i need help understanding it

Manual - in Edit screen you can move your cursor around using the arrows and then when you get to a spot on the screen you want to accept (make white) or reject (make dark) you press the accept/reject button. Prior to this you have picked the size or your cursor.

Auto Latch - with this, you run your coil over a certain target, the E-Trac will sound off and then you can press accept or reject. So your editing only using the actual target and the machines choice of numbers

The last two work much like the last one, (I believe) you make the choice to accept or reject "before" you run your coil over the target.

Now here is the important part when saving patterns.

When you get the screen looking like you want.

Press the DETECT button. Then answer Yes.

This will load it into your Smartfind Screen (can also be loaded into QuickMask Screen).

So with that done you can detect away. You can use that pattern all day as long as your machine is on.

Once you turn your machine off, I think you loose that pattern and go back to the previous one.

So if you want to, you'll have to SAVE the pattern.

So very quickly.

1. Edit or Create your Pattern by moving cursor.

2. Press Detect Button when done and answer question.

3. Save Pattern, by going to Menu, Discrimination and Save part. Don't forget this, or you'll lose the pattern and have to start over.

One more thing that might be confusing.

Modes are the Discrimination Patterns AND the Settings and Preferences combined and stored.

Discrimination Patterns are just the screen Pattern and does not affect your other settings and preferences.

I hope that's at least clear as mud....lol.

Ask away if you got any other ?'s or don't understand what I typed.
