I met a new friend today in Ed who's a detectorist in the same city as me and we got together this morn. We didn't dig any great finds but had a fun time. We both got about 35 coins or so. The items shown are mine and the cat in the middle of the pic sure looked like gold - tho no marks. I tested it at home with the acid test and it's not gold :( Sure would have bet money that it was.
The 2 coins are Mexican. A good time was had by all, Steve in so az

I had to wear a windbreaker this morning - by 7 am it was warm tho . As you may remember - I dont own a heavy coat :) Actually, it's in the mid 90's yet - soon to be much lower . When is the normal first snow fall for you all ? Sometime I would like to come back during the winter to see you all & the snow - but just for a few days - Steve
