coil wants to float to the top, so i zip tied some rocks in a sock to the shaft, ok that problem solved. I took it out to bout waist deep water the other day, and kept getting hits and i'd keep swinging over the target then it would disappear out of nowhere before i even dug???? I'm havin a hard time with the pinpoint all metal feature as well...it's kinda weird to do.....i need all the help you can give me thanks.

Fill the lower rod with concrete patching compound .... quick set mortor mix to just below the button snap clip leaving enough room for the biggest lead sinker you can drop in and still put the button clip back in position. Belt mount the control box. It too wants to float so if it's removed from the rods, you don't have that uplift to deal with. Usually just belt or chest mounting the control box reduces the tendency to float up too much.

As far as the disappearing targets, sometimes pull tabs and ssmall thin stuff gets washed out of the target area by the motion of the coil as you sweep. Make sure you set up the ground balance to as neutral a tone as possible. To check out if the machine is working properly, test it with objects out in your yard. If the problem continues, PM me or e-mail me for plan "B".
