What does the ED stand for and the numbers 120-180 refer to-inches,mm,cm ???

[size=large]It's not a reference to inches, cm, mm or a size or distance of depth or the coil and such. It's a reference to the upper arch of the sine wave that spans the generally accepted range of conductivity. The ED stands for Expanded Discrimination, relating to the fact that it was expanded LOWER to accept more lower-conductive targets than former Tesoro's and many other makes and models. The 120 and 180 are terms to reference the amount of acceptance, not rejection, the Disc. mode is capable of.
