Hello Mickey,
From my experience with using DD coils, They get better separation and stability.
I feel the larger Eclipse DD 1400 you have will gain the MXT extra depth and enhance separation as long as the site is not extremely trashy, It should do you well.
I've been experimenting and comparing the stock 9.5" coil against the 6"X 10" DD coil, The 6X10 DD coil enhances separation and greatly improves the recovery speed over the stock 9.5" coil plus gets about the same depth.
I'll never go back to using the 9.5" coil again, For serious relic hunting or hunting in extremely trashy areas for old silver the DD coil is the best choice.
I'll show you how the 6 X 10" DD coil is so much better over the stock 9.5" coil when we get together in a couple of weeks, DD coils are the future to metal detecting

So tomarrow i wiLL have my DD 1400, N my Hopes it wiLL find me more SILVER!!!! I wiLL hit the spots i Silvered out N find more???
