Eclipse 5.3 for my V3.....optimized or not?

I'm reading things here about an "optimized" version of the 5.3 coil that is evidently tuned specifically for the V3. First off, is that correct and secondly, is it going to make a big difference compared to a "non-optimized" 5.3?

The optimized (AKA V-nulled) 5.3 (and other coils as well) allows the V3 to be run with higher sensitivity and/or TX Boost without fear of overload. Higher sensitivity obviously means more depth.

The optimized coils are denoted by a "V" preceding the serial number on the mounting ears.

I originally heard about the v-nulled coils from my local dealer - confirmed with White's when I ordered my coil on Monday (yep it came from Oregon to NY in two days USPS). You can also serach the V3 forum. There have been several posts about coils and their use with the V3.

I tried a normal eclipse 5.3 on my machine last week. It RX Probe reading topped out at a whopping 3 (in air), and TX Boost instantly resulted in overload. The V-nulled coil I received today gives a RX probe reading of 15 (in air and ground), and works just dandy with TX Boost with sens at 11+

VERY helpful jgedde! Thanks. When you say search the V3 forum, you are referring to this forum correct?

PS Also, check out White's website: they mention the "V3 specific" coils in the FAQ section...
