ECLIPS 6X10 DD IS IT GOOD

im thinking of getting an eclips 6x10 dd for my m-6 so i can cover moor ground faster how deep is it compared to the stock coil and is it good at centering any coments would be great gunnar

The advantage of the 6X10 coil is better separation of trash and targets. Centering with the 6X10 is a bit more challenging. It will not help you cover more ground faster and there is a slight depth loss compared to the stock coil. To cover more ground faster, I would suggest a Bigfoot coil, but again at a major loss of depth. The Bigfoot has a depth of 5 to 6 inches depending on your soil conditions. Centering with the Bigfoot is super easy and right on.

I like the 6x10 and keep it on my MXT most of the time. AS Larry said it is not as deep as the 9.5 unless the ground is mineralized. Since it is a DD coil it will then out perform the 9.5. I have had good luck with the 9.5 concentric because our ground is pretty mild. In open ground the 9.5 does a good job and pinpoints super for me.

I see you like to use the 5.3. The 6x10 will definitely cover more ground then the 5.3. If your ground is not mineralized, and not trashy, I don't know if the 6 x10 is worth the extra money for you. If you have mineralization, or it is a little trashy, and you need to cover more ground go for it. It will also have more depth than the big foot, but won't cover the ground the bigfoot will. Rob

rob thats what i was thinking because the 6x10 has a 8" long 1/2" x 6"deep or better seach path under the coil i could cover moor ground than the 5.3 which put a cone into the ground so in the wood chips the 6x10 should cover ground faster thats what im thinking and thats why im buying one and if it will get down 8" on a dime or quarter boy that would be fine

My ground here is -94 DC Phase and i use the 6X10 it works great. As far as getting 8" i dont think thats a problem. I was finding silver dimes and wheaties today at 7" and this ground is bone dry. You just dont get the noise either that i got with the standard coil.
