ECKHART CARRIAGE COMPANY BADGE ?

Elmy

Well-known member
Hit a farmed field today got 3 paper thin, no date Indian Head pennies, and a 1899 barber dime and this neat badge?
Seems that it was a horse carriage company in Auburn Indiana.
I got this from the internet....
The Auburn Automobile Company grew out of the Eckhart Carriage Company, founded in Auburn, Indiana in 1874 by Charles Eckhart (1841–1915).
Do a search for the Eckhart carriage company for some very interesting reading!
I know this is in terrible shape but those paper thin Indians were much worse...all I could see was an outline of the indian...just enough to ID them!
