Easter Sunday Farthing +

Beautiful day here in Ct - sunny and perfect, cool temps. NO SWEAT & NO BUGS !! ( That'll change soon ! lol )
I hit a small cornfield for a couple hours. I managed a couple musket balls and a KG II farthing (hard to see in photo but looks like 1770).

Great Finds!
I'm not sure that the coin you found is a farthing. I'm pretty sure it's a Wood's Hibernia piece and since it's a bit larger than a quarter, it would be a halfpenny. If you search for images and info on Wood's Hibernia pieces you will see the similarities and should be able to narrow down your date. I think dates for Hibernia pieces are 1722-1724.

Cheers!

Thanks all for the comments.
To "TheLastResort" I believe you're right. I hadn't researched, but when I compared to other coins it was a bit smaller than a KGII halfpenny but much larger than a KGII farthing. As a Wood's Hibernia it's a first for me !! Thanks for the save ! lol
