Hit the lake at Sun-up with the AtPro. Been working this particular site probably 20 times since I found it last year, a real junkyard! Burnt down old working docks, now a party spot. Glass, Nails, big iron, old dump full of sheetmetal, copper and all..its a real challenge and very target rich and sensory overload kind of place.
Got a little sterling "Mother of Mercy, Pray for Us" medallion, nearly right away, then sniped up a 51 wheat, a bunch more nickels, D's, and P's. One of the last targets was this sterling bracelet, it has a turquoise stone in it...not a good solid signal, I figured it was a piece of copper or melted metal, but I found a silver spoon close by this last year and went for it.
Running the AtPro sens down, and if the lake bottom was blown out, dropped it even more...seemed to help work through the nails better...Have a look at the junk shot, the one shell is a 45-70...little tidbits of chain, screws, of course tabs of various ages...this is a fun location on account of all the targets, but it sure wears a guys ears out in a hurry, but its better than miles of empty quiet sand, and good practice with any rig. Theres gotta be more than one gold ring or chain in here! I found one 3gr gold ring last year on my first venture into this place, cant believe I lucked out first time in on account of all the tabs and nickels...The temp climbed to 60 degrees by the time I left, so thats good!
Mud.
