Sunday & Monday water hunts with the Xcal...
Strong West wind keeping the Gulf pretty smooth these days. Sunday morning ( 5 hour hunt ) I found hardly anything but newly lost coins, couple fishing weights, and pull tabs for the first three hours, so I got out of the water and walked a mile or so up the beach to hunt. Didn't hit much for some time while working my way back down the beach till I hit a couple cast net weights that were deep and had obviously been there a while. I Stayed in that area and circled around digging all faint signals in PP and recovered 2 quarters, more tabs and the sterling ( 12.2g) bracelet. Cleaned it up... Looks Navajo with red coral stone.
This morning I got in three hours and found a nice ladies Ellesse watch missing a band pin but still working, some coin, old fishing spoon and three earrings. The one big stone didn't have a post and kept falling through the scoop,.... when this happens I just bring the scooped sand up with out shaking it out and finger through it. The multi stone stud is 925 and the starfish is junk. No gold, but will be getting out with the Duel Field in the evening for the negative low tides this week in hopes of finding some. GL ALL
