We are pkanning a trip around Beaumont - Galveston TX. Years ago I heard Padre Island was a NO DETECTOR ZONE, but recently heard is now OK. Are most public beaches in TX alright to hunt?

most beaches except private beaches in galveston you can hunt and all of padre island beaches except the national seashore area

You cannot hunt the beaches at the State Park in Galveston.
