Just wanted to know if anyone hunts in the east tennessee area near blount co., knox co., or near the smokey mountains?

If you will include Sevier county (Seymour), count me in.

Just getting started...newbie....detector on order. :tesoro:

There is a club in Knoxville that meets once a month off Merchants Rd. I live in Roane county. Get a TVA metal detecting permit if you don't have one. They have a lot of nice places to hunt but you do have to have a permit. Good luck in this wonderful hobby. HH :minelab:

Well, I don't do much hunting due to the fact I don't have a detector of my own. I just stick to my family's properties in Jefferson County for now, until I can get a better detector. Got a few Civil War sites I would like to check out around here. Didn't know about the TVA permit. Is there one for like National Parks or something? I wouldn't mind trying a little prospecting up in Pitman Center. I heard there's a bit of gold in them hills.

not sure if anyone is still following this thread since the last post was in july but just in case i'm in cocke county and if anyone wants to get together for a hunt count me in.... just got a minelab and i need to get some hunt time on it....

I am also in Cocke County. I know this thread is an old one but I have been looking for someone in the area that likes to hunt. Let me know if you would be interested.

Probably more on here since 2011. I don't get to Newport much, and I usually don't take my units with me when I go to Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge area. There is a lot of late 1700s history here though.
