First off you guys and gals that fight the surf to hunt, my hats off to you. The Gulf coast is much tamer. Got into Cocoa Beach Sat. 2:00pm went to pier to eat and took these pics.

This is looking south, the same shot you can see from the Florida surf cam ( south pier)

This is looking North.

Went out at 5:00pm till 9:00pm Sat. night and 5:30am till 9:00am Sun. morning But water was to rough to get in and full of Portuguese Man of War. Wet sanded most of the time.

THE NUT

The big ring is a spinner ring, no markings, the ring with the stones has 797 , the ear ring has a foreign mark. The tow ring on right is junk.

May not be worth much but it sure looked good in the scoop.

I just did the calculations. 18K in decimal is 750. 19K is 791. Could that last number be a 1, instead of a 7? They're really close in shape.

I've heard of a lot of different karats used in gold, but that's the first 19K ring.

I was told that the decimal equivalents of Karat ratings.(.750 for 18K)was just a base line, if the gold content was a little higher or lower, could be determined and marked as such. This was told to me by a Jeweler who hand crafted jewelery for years.

.375--9K
.417--10K
.500--12K
.583--14K
.625--15K
.667--16K
.750--18K
.792--19K 19K can be marked between 792 to 832 if the jeweler wishes
.833--20K
.917--22K
.999--24K

Yes it is a Beautiful ring, it is 19K (there is such a thing)Pink Topaz with small diamonds on sides. The spinner ring was Titanium ,not a high dollar ring. I sent AllenOK a post with a web site about the new modern 19K gold. My wife has a couple custom made pieces marked 16K. which you don't see much of now a days.
